Stockton police vandalism suspect wanted to go home to Ariz.
Crime

STOCKTON, CA - A 22-year-old man hoping for a trip back to his home in Arizona selected a strange way to make it happen.

Police said Lidy Keyontae threw a "softball size" rock at the front glass door of Stockton Police Department building on East Market Street Monday night, thinking an arrest would get him shipped out of state.

The window was so heavily damaged a large piece of plywood was blocking it Tuesday.

Keyontae was later located and arrested on vandalism charges, Lt. Joe Rocha said.

The arrest didn't earn Keyontae a trip anywhere near Arizona. He was taken to the San Joaquin County Jail in French Camp.
